This was all that was left of this shot, and it was bound round and round with Sellotape holding it together. The emulsion on the image was folded in a couple of places deforming the face quite badly.

This image was at the stage where a restoration really shouldn't be attempted, as with this much facial damage, it's difficult to guarantee a good likeness will be maintained.

I was persuaded to attempt this one although I advised against having it done, and the customer was pleased with both the restoration and the likeness, but restoration should really be done long before images get to this stage.
